Afreximbank Wins Africa Investor 2019 Bank Arranger of the Year Award

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has won the Africa Investor (Ai) 2019 Bank Arranger of the Year award.

The award was presented in Cape Town, South Africa, on 3 September during the 2019 Ai Infrastructure Investment Awards ceremony at the Ai African Sovereign Wealth and Pension Fund Leaders’ Summit.

On hand to receive the award for Afreximbank was Dr. Philip Kamau, Chief Executive Officer of the Fund for Export Development in Africa, an Afreximbank subsidiary that provides equity financing to support key companies in the value chain of critical industries and sectors in Africa.

Africa Investor describes the Ai Infrastructure Investment Awards as a unique platform for infrastructure investors, financiers, operators and governments in Africa’s fast-growing infrastructure sector to gauge and compare their performance, achievements and investment success stories.
