Cairo, 10 May 2019 – The Government of the Republic of Rwanda, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), and the African Union, will, on Tuesday, 14 May 2019, in Kigali, sign the hosting agreement for the second Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2020). The hosting agreement will be signed on the sidelines of the Transform Africa Summit. IATF2020, scheduled to take place in Kigali from 1 to 7 September 2020, is being organized by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Union. The trade fair, which is set to transform trade among African countries and to boost economic expertise and knowledge sharing across the continent, is expected to generate over $40 billion in trade and investment deals and to be attended by more than 5,000 business leaders, entrepreneurs and government officials from over 55 countries.
