Afreximbank is honored to be executing a USD 50 million debt financing facility with the Lagos American Specialty Hospital. The Project is sponsored by Dr. Kola-Daisi Odunlami Bankole. The USD 50 million facility being signed today will be utilized to part finance the development of a 50-bed, tertiary level, world class medical and diagnostic facility in Lagos, Nigeria. The Lagos American Specialty Hospital aims to focus on the treatment of non-communicable diseases) with chosen clinical specialties focused on the areas that cause people to seek advanced care or medical treatments abroad. These include Orthopedics, Oncology, Cardiology, Nephrology and Rehabilitation.
The development of LASH will help improve the healthcare infrastructure in Nigeria, ease the non-communicable diseases burden in Nigeria and the West African region and ultimately help curb the rising burden of outbound medical tourism.
