The overarching objective of the Bank’s Africa in Figures publication is to promote the production of high quality structured and reliable data to support researchers and the Bank’s operations, as well as serving the broad constituent of its stakeholders, and hopefully, will contribute to addressing Africa’s perennial economic and trade information as well as investment opportunities gap, and gradually reverse some of the erroneous and negative perceptions about the continent. The current volume, which is the third of the revamped version of Africa in Figures, builds on the second edition published in 2024 by extending the series to 2024. It also extends the analysis to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to support enhanced cooperation between Africa and the Caribbean, in line with the Bank's Global Africa integration strategy.
